Friday

I missed work on Tuesday due to a nasty muscle strain in my upper right torso front and back and in order to keep my pto and still go to Montana in two weeks, I have to work tomorrow.  It kinda takes all the unph and fun out of Friday knowing you have to work Saturday when you're not used to it.  Also, got a nasty surprise by the satalite bill being almost $25 more than it should have been.  Hopefully Andy will get that fixed and we'll get a credit on our next bill, but that doesn't help us on this one.  I hate billing issues.  On top of these things, the weather is still crappy so we can't get any yard work done again this weekend.  This wouldn't be bad if we didn't have a borrowed trailor and chipper to help with the work that has to go back soon.  We'll have to hope for good weather next week and get it done during the week.  I'm having a really hard time keeping a good attitude today.  Oh well, such is life.  It is what it is and you gotta make the best of it right?

On a good note, we managed to bring breakfast and lunch with us for the 4th day in a row.  Go us!

Shoes and food

We got to aerobics tonight and Denise surprised me with a nice surprise, she bought me some water shoes. I have never been in a pool with water shoes before.  Now, the whole time we've been going to water aerobics the instructor has always said to avoid the black tiles marking the lanes on the bottom of the pool because they are slippery.  I've always been a bit confused by this as I have never had a problem gripping them with my bare feet, well guess what?  Those tiles turn into greased ice cubes when wearing water shoes!  More than once I slipped and almost went under.  Denise mentioned that it would have been funny and made a good post, lol.  There is some added advantages to wearing them however.  They do add stability, resistance, and, weird as it is, weight.  They added a whole new dynamic to my workout and despite the slippery hazards, I think I will keep using them - Thank you Denise!

I don't know about the rest of you, but I get very, VERY hungry after a good work out, and today was made worse by already feeling like I was starving before going.  Much to my delight, my husband had wonderful, yummy spaghetti cooking when I got home.  Love him!

Now to veg, cross-stitch, or play bioshock....

Morning

I woke this morning to a slightly chilly house from having turned the furnace off the week before anticipating spring and summer and now winter has decided on an encore, what's up with that?  I hate Utah weather sometimes.  Anyway, with the house slightly chilly, snuggled in my warm bed with my wonderful husband laying next to me running his hand through my hair and giving me soft kisses, I decided I can face another day even as I wish I could stay in bed.  Got up, worked out some stiffness and some pain, got dressed, flipped on the heater so the pets don't freeze, had a lovely eye watering coughing fit and headed out.  On the way to work, I realized that I once again forgot to give my poor old decrepit dog his meds.  He did get a joint eaze to coax him into the bathroom, or what we have deemed "Chewy prison", so hopefully he will be okay while we are at work.

Has anyone else noticed that if the ground is wet or white the average driver loses 10-15 IQ points?  Despite this and running behind at home, we managed to only be about eight minutes late, not too bad.

Anyway, another day another dollar.  Gotta start paying attention and get to work on a job that has become boring and lonely and I still hate my new desk.  At least I have water aerobics to look forward to tonight.
